Kieley Kimmel was born in Houston, TX and raised across California, South Carolina and Texas. Her path to styling and creative direction has been equally sprawling. As a trained painter and textile designer, she fuses her fervor for color theory, print design, knitwear and unconventional geometries to create visual narratives that are uniquely textured and otherworldly. Many are inspired by the landscapes in which she grew up.

She got her design start at RISD, and then in New York City where she worked in apparel design and textile design for 3.1 Phillip Lim and Rachel Comey. A few years later she launched an eponymous ready-to-wear collection, Kieley Kimmel. The line was recognized by publications such as Vogue, W Magazine, WWD, and Paper Magazine, which garnered it a small celebrity following.

In 2014, Kieley brought her hands-on experience in the design world to styling, creative direction and consulting. Her commitment to the arts has attracted musicians including Allie X, Duncan Laurence, Arooj Aftab, Kat Cunning, Arushi Jain, and Cults. She finds the co-creative process particularly inspiring.

Other editorial work has been featured in Vogue Italia, Document Journal, V Magazine, Puss Puss, Schon Magazine, TUSH, Rain Magazine.
