Born in London. Matt lives between New York City & Woodstock with his wife and two children.
The challenge of being the son of a i-D publisher and Creative Director Terry Jones, was always going to be a mixed blessing, it became photography rather than graphics that finally took Matt’s attention. At the age of 19, Matt’s first photographic contribution appeared in i-D, Damien Hirst… fully naked. “It was good,” recalls Matt, “I was incredibly nervous but that was my idea and Damien was very willing”. Less than a year later Matt shot his first i-D cover and since then he has clocked-up 20 covers for the magazine.
Other Magazines clients include French Vogue, L’uomo Vogue, French Elle, New York Times, V magazine, GQ. Shooting a long list of celebrities including Barack Obama, Joaquin Phoenix, Beyonce, Rihanna, Cate Blanchet, David Beckham, Louise Bourgeois and so many more.
