BIO

Artist, set designer and community activist, Molly Findlay creates spaces, places and happenings which gently subvert the everyday and foster a collaborative spirit through flattened hierarchies and an appreciation for the absurd.

In her sculptural practice, Findlay is the originator of Mrs. Noodle Pillow, and the accompanying "Hard Talks in Soft Spaces", where participants unpack sticky subjects on a giant nest of 40 foot velvet rainbow noodles.

Her commercial set design clients include Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Google, Estee Lauder, Tiffany, Harry Winston, Samsung, Apple, and Google, among many others, and her work has been widely published globally. In her early career, she produced shoots around the world for Harper’s Bazaar with iconic editors and photographers such as Hiro, Patrick Demarchelier, Richard Burbridge, and Peter Lindberg. Molly currently lives with her partner and two daughters between New York, Berkeley, Trinidad, and Bali. She is a Founding trustee of Museum of the Courageous, honoring those who stand up to hate in America; co-founder of Planetary Self, an organization connecting artists, scientists and local communities for Planetary Wellness; and is deeply involved in GrowNYC, the Council for the Environment of New York City.
